Bio: Dr. Faust is a board certified pediatrician with 26 years of experience. He trained at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine where he served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Faust also served as Medical Director of the Governor's Office of Child Care Coordination at the State of Tennessee where his duties included assisting high risk children and adolescents to obtain needed mental and behavioral health services. This entailed working closely with families, advocates, various state agencies, managed care organizations, and judicial systems. Dr. Faust presently serves as a clinical preceptor for the Vanderbilt nurse practitioner program. He is active in the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics ( TnAAP) and serves as one of their physician trainers on developmental screening tools. He is also one of five community pediatricians trained by the START-ED program to implement effective and efficient practice models for screening for and diagnosing autism spectrum disorder. He has been married for 36 years. They are avid runners and active participants in the local running club. Dr. Faust is currently performing autism screenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Pediatric Specialists of Nashville location.
