Dr. Burkhart accepts various insurance plans, ranging from health maintenance organizations (HMO's) and preferred provider organizations (PPOs) to Americhoice and Amerigroup. Many insurance companies require preauthorization for psychological services. When calling to make an appointment, you will need to provide your insurance information so that our office staff can investigate your behavioral health benefits and secure any required authorizations. If health expenses become an excessive financial burden for patient families, our office will make every effort to work out a fair and reasonable payment schedule.

Dr. Burkhart lives in the Nashville area. She enjoys crafts, outdoor recreational activities, and is a fan of live music. Dr. Burkhart is genuinely compassionate about her work and is honored when families trust her to provide care and support to their children. Bio: Dr. Lina L. Burkhart, Clinical Psychologist, joined the Specialties department of Centennial Pediatrics in the spring of 2005. Dr. Burkhart practices at the Pediatric Specialist of Nashville office full-time Monday through Thursday from 8am - 6pm.

Dr. Burkhart received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. She specialized in working with children and families, and conducted research focusing on parent-child relationships. Dr. Burkhart completed a clinical-child and pediatric psychology internship at the Mailman Center for Child Development at the University of Miami, as well as a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in infant mental health. Dr. Burkhart is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, Health Service Provider in the State of Tennessee. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Tennessee Psychological Association, and Cumberland Pediatric Foundation. Dr. Burkhart serves children and families from all Centennial Pediatric locations in addition to families from the community.
